New law allows for removal of sports fans

High school sports fans will have to watch their behavior more closely at sporting events after the passage of Texas Senate Bill (SB) 2929 which became effective for the 20252026 school year. The new law allows game officials at University Interscholastic League (UIL) events to immediately eject spectators for inappropriate or disruptive behavior without a prior verbal warning.
