New Hartford baseball edges CVA in Section III Class A quarterfinals

New Hartford rallied from some early miscues with three runs in the bottom of the first and then got the go-ahead run with some solid situational baseball in the fifth inning Thursday in the Section III Class A quarterfinals against Central Valley League. New Hartford pitchers Byron Thornley and John Vitullo combined for a two-hitter. CVA pitcher Pace Ludwig also pitched a complete game. In another Class A game, Camden fell short.
