Naïma Moutchou's visit also coincided with another formal announcement from one major "moderate" component of the pro-independence movement to officialise an already existing split with the FLNKS.
On the last day of her visit, the Overseas Minister announced that the Caledonians will be consulted on the Bougival agreement in February before the constitutional reform. A way out of the political blockade orchestrated by FLNKS, more weakened than ever.
