With the appointment decisions signed by President Erdoğan, Ali Fidan, the Governor of Nevşehir, was appointed as the Director General of Security. Fidan, who was appointed as the 'first civilian undersecretary' of the Ministry of National Defense during his time as the Governor of Düzce, is the first civilian in the history of the Republic to be appointed as the Director General of Security.
