- Nestle updated its product recall to include one more batch after the Food Standards Agency confirmed cereulide toxin in some SMA infant and follow-on formula.
- The Food Standards Agency said on Friday that the contamination originated from arachidonic acid oil supplied by a shared, third-party ingredient supplier.
- The recalled pack is an 800g SMA Advanced First Infant Milk marked 53390346AB with best-before December 2027, and the full recall covers several SMA products with many batch codes.
- The Food Standards Agency urged people to stop using affected products, switch to alternatives and contact their GP or NHS 111 if a baby consumed the formula.
