Murderer served 17.5 years in prison – Now free
A man will be released after serving more than 17.5 years of a life sentence. The Helsinki Court of Appeal has decided to release a 48-year-old man convicted of the brutal murder of Liperi. The Eastern Finland Court of Appeal sentenced the man to life imprisonment in February 2010. At the time, a 32-year-old man and his 20-year-old friend murdered a 53-year-old man in Liperi's Roukalahti on November 28, 2008.
