ON A HIGHWAY in Slovenia, a 21-year-old man shot a police officer after a traffic accident, stole his gun and fled in a police car. The wounded police officer is out of danger, and the attacker was soon arrested.
Interestingly, the same 21-year-old had already been the subject of police proceedings the day before. According to police information, he had crashed into a parked vehicle in the Ljubljana area of Vič. The police suspected that he was driving under the influence of drugs, but he refused a medical examination.
After an extensive search, the police arrested a 21-year-old man, while the wounded policeman is in stable condition and out of danger.
A search for evidence is underway on the ground, and police teams with sniffer dogs are searching the area along several kilometers of the highway. The police vehicle that the suspect took is also being searched.
