- Officials said the report attributes 574 incidents to criminal or social disputes, including theft , neighbourhood disputes , and land conflicts , aiming to provide an evidence-based picture.
- Law-Enforcement tallies indicate police registered 390 cases, filed 154 unnatural death reports, made 498 arrests, and identified 71 incidents with communal elements, including temple vandalism , arson , murder , theft , and 23 other incidents.
- BHBCUC leader Kajal Debnath said `If the government thinks these are not communal incidents, the question then is whether anyone can take the law into their own hands` and warned rising violence threatens minority communities.
- With parliamentary polls set for February 12, the forum alleged violence aims to prevent minority voters from casting votes for candidates of their choice.
