According to data collected by the Portuguese Workers' General Confederation (CGTP-In), for the picture on "The current situation of women workers in Portugal", "about 590 000 women workers have precluding links, or 26.8% of the total employees". It refers, based on data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE) on the first quarter of 2025, which had 2,548 000 women employed, 2,244 thousand of whom work on account of others (88%).
