More than 500 Watauga County votes are at risk of being overturned in a state lawsuit.

In November, Jefferson Griffin, a Republican candidate for the North Carolina Supreme Court in the 2024 election, sued the State Board of Elections to have more than 60,000 votes thrown out, including 541 votes from Watauga County.
