Javier Antonio Méndez has been sentenced to 20 years in prison, for having abused a minor, in Tonacatepeque. This subject abused the victim by taking advantage of his leadership, within the church where the minor and her family met. Méndez showed up at the victim’s house with the excuse of needing some tools and assaulting the victim. Witnesses gave notice to the authorities and he was quickly captured.
