On June 10, Member of Parliament for Verchères, Suzanne Roy, announced a financial contribution of $3.4 million to Danone Canada, one of whose head offices is in Boucherville, which will allow the company to adapt two of the production lines to the production of individual, greener yogurt pots. Polystyrene pots will now be made of polyethylene terephthalate resin (PET) and will incorporate recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET).
