More and More Restaurant Bankruptcies Are Being Registered in Lithuania: Winter Is Awaited with Trepidation

This summer was extremely volatile for the restaurant and catering business - bad weather and fluctuating visitor flows led to 19 catering companies, mostly in Vilnius and Klaipėda, filing for bankruptcy by the end of August. There were less than 100 jobs left, and debts to Sodra were also fixed. Managers of both large restaurant chains and individual catering establishments say that rising wages are preventing successful business.
