The head of Hungarian diplomacy, Peter Szijártó, revealed to RTS the details of how MOL, in case of a positive outcome, plans to operate the regional oil market. MOL and Gazpromneft have progressed quite quickly in their negotiations, said Sijarto.
MOL is close to an agreement to buy into the Serbian oil company NIS, and a binding agreement on this could be signed this weekend, according to Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó and Serbian government statements. Based on this, it is now almost certain that the Hungarian oil company will acquire a stake in NIS, and with it the Pančevo refinery. However, there are many unknown details - we will discuss these at the end of the article.
