Former Tiger Wrestler Daniel Lewis Announced as Newest Upcoming Addition to Mizzou Hall of Fame
Lewis won three Mid-American Conference titles and earned NCAA All-American honors in all three seasons.
On Monday, The Mizzou Athletics Hall announced former wrestler Daniel Lewis as the fourth member of its 2026 induction class, joining Ashley Fleming, Nicki Webber Moore, and Nick Bolton.
Lewis finished his collegiate career with a 186-4 record, including a perfect 45-0 season during his senior year, and achieved his highest finishes at the NCAA Championships in 2016 and 2018, placing fourth.
Competing at 165 pounds before moving to 174 as a redshirt junior, Lewis won three Mid-American Conference championships and earned NCAA All-American honors in each of those seasons on the Mizzou wrestling team.
Born in Salina, Kansas, the 31-year-old attended Blue Springs High School, winning state titles all four seasons before becoming the second Missouri athlete to win titles in four different weight classes, joining Cox.
Most years, The Mizzou Athletics Hall inducts four to six former athletes; this selection of Lewis continues the growth of the 2026 class, which now includes four confirmed members.
