The government has authorized Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs Liisa Pakosta to sign a five-year prison lease agreement with Sweden. The lease of underused prison buildings will provide jobs for 400 people in the sector, maintain a functioning prison infrastructure in reserve for crises, and bring at least 30 million euros to the state annually, the government said in a press release.
