Mexican Peso Reaches Strongest Position Since August 2024

MEXICO, JUL 24 – The peso closed at 18.53 per dollar after 2% July gains due to stable trade policies, high interest rates, and government support for Pemex, Banco de México reported.

The Mexican peso appreciated against the US dollar for a fourth consecutive trading day on Wednesday to close at its strongest position in 2025. The peso closed at 18.53 to the greenback on Wednesday, according to the Bank of Mexico (Banxico), an appreciation of around 0.6% compared to its closing position on Tuesday.
