MANILA, Philippines – Public transportation and urban mobility readiness in the Philippine capital are among the worst in the world,  according to a report by think tank Oliver Wyman Forum

Manila’s ranking in overall 'urban mobility readiness' is even lower – 58th out of 60 cities, ahead of only Nairobi in Kenya and Lagos in Nigeria

“As cities tackle these issues… they should make modern mobility systems a core part of their strategies,” noted the study. “Efficient and equitable mobility networks are key engines of urban vitality and sustainability.”

Nairobi Ranked Among Worst Cities in Public Transport Globally

Nairobi was ranked 59th out of a survey of 60 cities worldwide, scoring 25 percent- a figure below the average threshold of 51.7 percent.
