CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners voted Tuesday night to adopt Mecklenburg County’s $2.5 billion budget for the 2026 fiscal year. That’s less than a 2-percent increase over the current budget. The new budget is aimed at funding economic development, education, workforce development and more.
