A power outage left different towns in the southern Mexican state of Quintana Roo, including the popular tourist destination Cancun, without electricity, local media reported on Monday evening.

A mass power outage has left much of southeastern Mexico without electricity this Monday. Users report on social networks that they have been out of service since the afternoon and that the main affected states are Quintana Roo and Tabasco, but also towns in Campeche and part of Yucatán.
