Marlous Van Wetten (40) Has Two Different Socks in Her Backpack During Alpe d'Huzes, in Memory of Brother Jan Hein

The clothesline full of socks at her café was meant as a tribute to her brother who died of cancer last year and who always wore two different socks. It has now become a memorial where passers-by regularly hang up a short sock in memory of their own deceased loved ones. Marlous van Wetten thinks it's fine: "That line will stay up for everyone. But I'll be walking Alpe d'Huzes next week exclusively in memory of Jan Hein."
