New Jersey Devils Sign Winger Anthony Mantha to a 2-Year, $9.5 Million Contract
Mantha had 33 goals and 64 points last season and joins New Jersey after the Devils missed the playoffs.
On Wednesday, The New Jersey Devils signed forward Anthony Mantha to a two-year, $9,500,000 contract, bolstering the roster after missing the Stanley Cup Playoffs last season.
General Manager Sunny Mehta continues his offseason overhaul after trading goaltender Jacob Markstrom to Florida for Evan Rodrigues and Jesper Boqvist earlier this month.
Mantha is coming off a breakout 2025-26 season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, recording career highs with 33 goals and 64 points in 81 games.
Under the contract, Mantha will earn $5.4 million in 2026-27 and $4.1 million in 2027-28, counting $4.75 million against the salary cap.
Originally selected by The Detroit Red Wings in the 2013 NHL Draft, the Quebec native is nearly two years removed from a right knee ACL injury.
