Mali: Jnim Jihadists Deciding Dioura Military Camp · Global Voices

In Mali, some 40 soldiers were killed on 23 May 2025 in the attack on the military camp in Dioura, Mopti region, in the centre of the country. Jihadists from Jnim, linked to al-Qaeda, claimed that they had taken control of the camp, which was confirmed by local, civilian and security sources, joined by RFI. Jnim also broadcast videos of the killed Malian soldiers and stolen weapons and vehicles. The army did not report on the attack.
