Makeover into tech campus of old San Jose store site gets key city OK

SAN JOSE — A big building expected to become the start of a massive tech campus in San Jose that’s slated to sprout on the site of a long-shuttered retail outlet has won final approval from city officials. Super Micro Computer has won approval from top city planners for a building that totals 333,400 square feet and would be the first stage of what could eventually be a tech campus where a Fry’s Electronics store once operated.
