Four years after the start of tunnel digging, the southern, less demanding half of the construction work on the new line has been completed.

The main construction works on the section of the second railway track between Črni Kal and Koper have been completed, and the railway works, which include laying the rails and arranging the accompanying infrastructure, are now continuing at an accelerated pace. "The goal remains clear - the launch of the second track in 2026, as originally planned," said 2TDK General Director Matej Oset.
