Loveland police believe failure to yield caused fatal crash

Investigators believe a 74-year-old man turned in front of an oncoming vehicle, causing a crash that occurred at 1:12 p.m. Friday at U.S. 287 and 42nd Street Southeast. Emergency crews had to extricate the 74-year-old from his vehicle, a Toyota Highlander, and rushed him to the hospital, according to a Monday release from the Loveland Police Department.
