Tesla has been the target of protests around the world amid owner Elon Musk's affiliation with the Trump administration and his backing of European far-right parties.

Several Tesla charging stations were destroyed or damaged on 27 March in a municipality in the Loire. An anti-Tesla inscription was painted on site, leaving little doubt about the political nature of these acts.

First such act in the region, these voluntary fires occur in a context of growing protest against Elon Musk and his involvement in American politics.

The inscription "Tesla Born to burn anti-campaign" was found on the floor of the parking lot. Two terminals with a unit value of several tens of thousands of euros were destroyed.
