Lawsuit Accuses Union Pacific of Igniting Rowena Fire Through Train Sparks

WASCO COUNTY, OREGON, JUN 24 – The lawsuit alleges Union Pacific failed to maintain equipment and vegetation despite extreme fire warnings, causing a blaze that destroyed 56 homes and displaced over 1,500 residents.

Union Pacific tracks run through the fire area, but authorities haven't mentioned train sparks as a possible cause, saying only that the cause is being investigated.
