Tolga Koklu has been nominated as the new police chief of the Rotterdam Police Unit, the police announced. Effective September 1st, he will succeed Fred Westerbeke, who has held this position for the past five years. Koklu has worked for the Rotterdam Unit as Director of Operations since March of last year and was Westerbeke's deputy.
