Kingsport asks Kroger to keep E. Stone Drive store open

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — Kingsport Mayor Paul Montgomery said the city has asked Kroger to keep the E. Stone Drive store open. "We received notification from Kroger's by letter and stating they were closing the store in September," Montgomery said. "And so I asked the staff to put together some kind of response to that, and we responded back to Kroger's and asked them to reconsider. And we would like for them to stay with us here in Kingsport."…
