- She said she would rule within 30 days of the Oct. 6 hearing while U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis plans to hear testimony from Trump administration officials to assess lawfulness.
- Abrego Garcia’s attorney filed a lawsuit demanding he not be put on any flight until trial, and he is expected to remain in Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody during proceedings.
- Ahead of the hearing, Kilmar Abrego Garcia will undergo a credible-fear interview to assess persecution fears in Uganda and seeks to renew his asylum bid before an immigration judge within the Justice Department after his mid-March unlawful deportation to El Salvador.
