REPORTING. The South African giant launches the production of the EV4, its first European electric car, in its factory in Zilina, where it has invested more than 1 billion euros.
Korean automaker Kia has started production of the EV4 mid-size car at its Slovak factory in Žilina. It is the first fully electric Kia car the company is assembling in Europe. Korean automaker Kia has also started producing electric cars at its Slovakian plant, its only one on the European continent. The EV4 model has started rolling off the production line there. The hatchback (a sedan version is also assembled in Korea) has replaced the Ceed model in the production program.
Kia has carried out a major modernization of production lines at its only plant in Europe, located in Slovakia. This innovation is to make the five-door Kia EV4 the first fully electric vehicle of the South Korean firm, which is manufactured in Europe.
