The High Court of Madrid dismisses the appeals of pro-Franco groups and gives the green light to exhumations in Cuelgamuros

The order dismissed the appeals filed by the Francisco Franco Foundation and the Association for Reconciliation and Historical Truth, although an appeal against the decision could be lodged with the Supreme Court's Administrative Dispute Chamber (TS) against cassation.

The Superior Court of Justice of Madrid has decided to consider the appeal filed by Patrimonio Nacional, a public body dependent on the Government and the City of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, and to dismiss those raised by various pro-Franco groups and personalities, including the Franco Foundation, in the dispute over which the latter intended to paralyze the exhumations in the Valley of Cuelgamuros, formerly known as Valle de los Caídos.
