All House Republicans reject Democratic attempt to force DOJ disclosure of Epstein documents
UNITED STATES, JUL 21 – House Republicans blocked a bipartisan amendment to release Jeffrey Epstein files, with only one Republican joining Democrats amid ongoing demands for transparency and accountability.
- On July 15, House Democrats forced a full House vote on Khanna’s Epstein record release amendment, but it failed 211-210, with all Republicans voting against. The measure sought transparency, but Republicans blocked it in a narrow vote.
- Last week, Rep. Ro Khanna announced his amendment would require the Justice Department to publish Epstein files within 30 days, Jamie Dupree reported.
- Only one Republican, Rep. Ralph Norman, R-S.C., joined Democrats, and recently released footage revealed a one-minute gap in Epstein’s cell video.
- Late Monday night, House Republicans blocked the amendment to the GENIUS Act in a 7-5 vote.
