Jury Awards $4.8M to Rochester Clergy Abuse Survivor

An Olmsted County jury has awarded more than $4.8 million in damages to a man who was sexually abused as a child by a Catholic priest in Rochester. According to court documents, Charles Brown was a student at Lourdes High School in the early to mid-1970s and was sexually abused by Father Joseph Cashman, who was the principal of the Catholic high school at the time.
