June, with an average temperature in the peninsula of 23.7°C, that is, 3.6 degrees Celsius (°C) above normal, was the most anomalously warm month in Spain since there are records, according to the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) this Thursday.
The global average temperature in June 2025 was 1.3°C above the pre-industrial average, falling below the threshold set by the Paris Agreement.
