It was an evening in which much went wrong for Ajax and John Heitinga. Not only did the Amsterdam side lose 5-1 after Kenneth Taylor received an early red card, but the fans also turned against Heitinga for the first time. After Taylor's red card, Ajax coach Oscar Gloukh was taken off the pitch, after which the away fans started whistling en masse. A resounding "Johnny, get lost!" could be heard.
