Jamie Lee Curtis will receive the Jane Fonda Humanitarian Award for her artistic legacy and philanthropy at the WIF Honors, which also celebrates advocacy and rising talent.
- On Nov. 6, WIF Honors will recognize Jamie Lee Curtis, actress and Regina King, actress at a gala at the Beverly Hilton hotel, Los Angeles.
- WIF co-chairs Victoria Alonso and Tracy McKnight said this year’s Unity-themed honors recognize commitments to equity, sustainability and storytelling that transform culture.
- Tessa Thompson, Nia DaCosta, Dede Gardner and Gabrielle Nadig will receive the Crystal Award for Advocacy in Film for Hedda, while Mara Brock Akil, Judy Blume and Regina King will get the Crystal Award for Advocacy in TV.
- The gala raises funds for WIF’s education, career and advocacy programs, with two-time Oscar winner Jane Fonda presenting Jamie Lee Curtis the Jane Fonda Humanitarian Award and Atsuko Okatsuka hosting.
- Founded in 1973, WIF advocates for women in front of and behind the camera, and WIF CEO Kirsten Schaffer said this year’s honorees exemplify artists driving change and solidarity.
