"It's an ecological disaster!" Dead fish and degraded river, the damage is significant after the pollution of a river near Limoges

On Saturday 22 March, polluting products were spilled into a tributary of Mazelle, a river in the Palais-sur-Vienne, near Limoges. More than two kilometres of streams were affected and trout raised in a downstream fish farm were killed. The area was being mobilized to restore ecological continuity.

The environmental damage in connection with the accident of the toxic benzene tankers in Hustopeče nad Bečvou in the Přerov region will exceed the original estimated amount of one hundred million crowns several times.
