Electric vehicle costs have fallen significantly compared to gasoline vehicles, according to the ICCT report. The decrease in battery prices and stable charging costs make electric vehicles advantageous in terms of usage and purchase.
The cost-effectiveness advantage of electric vehicles has become apparent. According to ICCT research covering European Union countries, the energy cost per kilometer for electric vehicles will be, on average, 33 percent lower than for gasoline cars in 2025. Even for electric vehicles charged only at public stations, a 28 percent advantage was calculated.
