The president is obligated to administer the oath of office to all six judges elected on March 13th. This is the view of Professor Marcin Wiącek, the Commissioner for Human Rights, explaining the nuances. Karol Nawrocki invited only two judges to the palace, but no decision has yet been made regarding the others. The remaining four have sent him another letter and point out the positive aspects of the situation.
Minister of Justice Waldemar Żurek strongly appealed to the president to accept the oaths of office of the four judges who have not yet been included in the list. On Wednesday, President Karol Nawrocki accepted the oaths of office of Dariusz Szostek and Magdalena Bentkowska, elected by the Sejm as judges of the Constitutional Tribunal.
