IRMO, S.C. (WOLO)– The Irmo Police Department is responding to claims from the family of a man who died in custody last month. His family met with the media and attorneys earlier this week asking for answers. Irmo Police say on June 22, 45-year-old Byron Jackson was tased after fleeing from officers in a car then fighting with officers following a chase.
