An Iranian hacking group linked to Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) is targeting a new, undocumented framework known as Cavern to attack Israeli organizations. This activity, which primarily targeted IT service providers and government sectors, was attributed by Check Point Research to a threat group called Cavern Manticore, which shares some tactical similarities with MuddyWater and Lyceum, believed to be a subgroup of OilRig.
