Mexico City celebrates International Day of Indigenous Peoples
Mexico City’s streets came alive on Saturday, August 9, as residents celebrated the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples. Many wore colourful traditional clothing as they danced, drummed, and sang while marching through the city. This annual global observance aims to raise awareness of the struggles faced by indigenous communities and to promote the protection of their rights.
