Instead of helping - they took: Couple suspected of stealing food baskets intended for needy families

Two Ashdod residents were arrested after food baskets and cash were found in their home, which were suspected to have been taken illegally. The couple offered to volunteer with an aid organization ahead of Passover, and were given access to the list of families. The investigation was opened following a complaint from a family that did not receive the basket they were promised
