Some Strong Mayor Powers delegated to Prince Edward County council

Prince Edward County Mayor Steve Ferguson delegated some Strong Mayor Powers to council on Tuesday. These powers are with respect to the Committee structure to establish or dissolve committees, appoint committee Chairs and Vice-chairs and assign functions to committees. The County was one of several municipalities to receive Strong Mayor Powers back in early May.

For the second this month, Prince Edward County Mayor Steve Ferguson has delegated some of the additional powers he recently received under the provicial Strong Mayor program. Prince Edward County was one of more than 100 municipalities in Ontario to be extended Strong Mayor Powers as of May 1st.
