After the INE General Council confirmed that it cannot legally cancel at this time the 26 candidacies related to drug trafficking and other crimes as requested by the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, the president of that institute, Guadalupe Taddei, reiterated that this action had to have occurred before, and considered that omissions could occur in an electoral process of this magnitude.
