- On August 7, NCERT introduced chapters on Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, Brigadier Mohammad Usman and Major Somnath Sharma, aiming to foster patriotism and lessons on sacrifice.
- The Defence Ministry collaborated with the Ministry of Education and NCERT to integrate the National War Memorial into the curriculum, aiming to instill resilience, empathy, and a spirit of service.
- According to the ministry, chapters on Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw appear in Class 8 , Brigadier Mohammad Usman in Class 7 , and Major Somnath Sharma in Class 8 .
