CHHINDHWARA, INDIA -- The owner of a pharmaceutical company in India has been arrested in connection with the deaths of at least 21 children who consumed a cough syrup made by his company. According to CBS News, G. Ranganathan, 75, was arrested and charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder and adulteration of drugs in connection with the deaths.
Following the deaths of 22 children in Madhya Pradesh due to contaminated Coldrif cough syrup, state Drug Controller Dinesh Srivastava made two major revelations on camera.
