- International cricket returns to M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, which receives clearance to host matches for the first time since its closure in June 2024. The venue joins the expanded schedule across India.
- Guwahati's Barsapara Cricket Stadium secures a Test match in the 2027 Border-Gavaskar series, marking its first time hosting a match in the prestigious tournament. This selection reflects the BCCI's nationwide distribution strategy.
